Global Warming and role of developing countries

For controlling global warming; experts in west say, that India and China should curb their global green house emissions which at present are the lowest in the world if we go by per capita emissions. The logic seems flawed that USA with comprising of 5% of world population consumes 25% of the overall world resources and if you combine consumption of Europe with America it would come to some where around more than 70 % of global consumption of resources. We have a situation here where 20 % of the world population consumes 70% of its resources and then have the guts to say to remaining 80% of the world population to further reduce their consumption from 30% to even lower. The logic seems so ridiculous and still western media drums it up through out the world and run series of articles in name of global warming egs:-

1) In India Tata motor launches world cheapest car Nano; and we have doomsday prediction that if millions of Indians meet their basic transport needs then environment will be ruined, It is easy to say this, why don’t the preachers of global warming, walk the talk they so passionately espouse; ban Sports car , SUV and other petrol guzzlers which developed countries residents flaunt just for recreational purpose. They will not do it but expect indian govt to intervene and deprive common poor person of transport which is with in his reach.

2) Series of articles in press demand that world bank should not fund coal based power projects in developing countries of the world because of pollution and global warming can these people who promote such cause go without electricity for 1 hour forget about 1 day, here in India every major city has power loss for minimum of 6 to 8 hours.

These demands are like asking for million dollars from beggars; its not that India or China or any developing country should not adopt responsible behaviour towards global warming but demands of West should be reasonable and it must first bring its own house in order. for egs, what’s the need for empty office building in New York or London to keep their lights on during night when no one is working there its just for aesthetic pupose.
